You only need a specific DVD drive to rip original Wii games. You can use any drive to burn Wii .isos or rip backups.

Just use ImgBurn and burn the .iso at 4X speed. Make sure to use high quality discs such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Supposedly DVD-R discs work better than DVD+R for backup launchers. I use a chip instead and DVD+R discs work fine.

Any DVD burner can burn wii games.

And if you tell us exactly what issue you're having it would help? Is there an error message or just a black screen?

I ran out of DVD-R discs once and had some DVD+R discs and burnt a game that worked on the DVD-R on the DVD+R and it didn't like it at all, so i'd suggest getting some good DVD-R discs. If your in the U.K then SVP do some great Verbatim discs with Taiyo Yuden Dye TYG03
