    Hi all.

I just coppied a movie using DVD shrink to my HD. I also coppied all the menus.
All the files come to about 4.6gig. No problem for a DVD -r disk.

My quesion is though, what program can i use that will copy this movie back to a DVD-r disks with all the chapters and Menus intact.

    Many thanks
    Travis

Hi Saber, You might have a little problem with that file size total of 4.6 gig. Most forums state that a blank dvd media can only hold 4.4 gig of data even though they are rated at 4.7 gig. Its just the way they are made. You might get it on but may play and freeze near end. You also may get error message that file is too big. Just thought I let you know what might happen. Jerry

Nero will Only Burn Video_TS Folders and Data to DVD"s, It doesn"t actually format the Files so they can be burned But once the Files have been formated to a Video_TS Folder then Nero will Burn it to DVD in DVD-Video Mode....

Start Nero 6 with the Wizard off. Check to see if it is set on CD or DVD right under 'New Compilation' window that pops up.

You do have a dvd burner, yes?

Hi saber, Glad the other members answered some of your questions for you. I was off line all afternoon fixing 2 computers for friends of mine. I use just the express part of Nero 6 to burn back. When you open up the dvd video section, the 2 AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders are already made for you on the left side of the screen. Keep asking questions, we'll get there. Jerry

There are numerous guides on these forums dealing with burning the image to dvd using blah, but if you're going to use record now dx or max make sure you read the guide, there are a few things like making sure it's a new volume and things like that.

Saber: if Nero 6 has no DVD options then you probably do not have a DVD burner.

    Saber,

If the only choices you have are VCD or SVCD then you have that little box on the upper left corner set on CD not on DVD !!

The one key question you have not answered is -
Do you have a DVD Burner ??

We have to know that in order to tell you how to burn DVD's or Mini-DVD's.

    As Jerry746 mentioned -
You cannot have your file larger than 4.36 GB in order to play properly !

DVDShrink can compress your files from your 4.6 GB size to 4.36Gig, no problem. This is done under re-author.

A great guide for that is http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/DVD_Shrink_v3_beta5.htm

To make sure you stay on the right track try this little trick of mine -

HINT: I created a folder on my HD named "DVD Work" and before ripping my DVD’s I create another sub-folder with the name of the movie I'm backing up. (I.e. DVD Work\Starship Troopers.) When you click "Backup" in DVDShrink, a box will come up saying "Target Folder:” click "Browse" and trace your path back to "DVD Work\Starship Troopers" - when DVDShrink is finished, it will give you your VIDEO_TS folder already made for you in your DVD Work\Starship Troopers folder and you’re good to go. Now, , if you wish, you can burn it days down the road. At one point I had 23 movies sitting there, just waiting for my shipment of blank DVD media to arrive.

When you wish to burn, use the "File Browser" in Nero (don’t use Wizard) to trace your path back again to DVD Work\Starship Troopers, you don’t have to try to remember where your work is or if you need to do anymore work on it, it is completely finished, ready to go – you are done and done –

    Enjoy,
    “P”
