I have 2 computers (AMD XP 3200 and AMD 900mhz)
Both are installed with Nero 7.xx demo (with correct serial)

Some of you may not belive this, but with one of the computers, I can burn DVD titles (copy protected) without using the decrypter programs such as dvdfab, dvd decrypter etc)

What I do is is insert the movie in the DVD-writer and open Nero RECODE and select the DVD-Writer drive and I start ENCODING. When the Encoding process is done, the Nero recode prompts me to insert a blank DVD+R..

I've been burning DVD titles without decrypting them first.
How is this possible? I don't understand this..

I have 2 compututers, and I can do this with onnly ONE of the computer. I can't seem to reproduce the same result with the other computer... With the other one, it won't let me ENCODE because the DVD is copy protected!!

Both computers are just comon computers..
    Both running Win XP
Both have Nero 7.xx Demo installed ( I forgoet which version..)

I have copied the Harry Potter (Goblet of Fire) without decrypting it and many other recent dvd titles..

I was able to just go thru the encoding process without decryting it.

It's weird. How is this possible? With the other computer I can't do the same. I had to use the decrypter to burn Harry Potter..

I am not kidding guys.. why would I create a login today to tell you lies.

I just popped DAREDEVIL DVD I rented from the library to my main computer. Tried to decode it (using the Nero REcode), but it says the "DVD IS COPY PROTECTED"

I popped the same DAREDEVIL DVD in the other computer (Sony dvd-writer) and it starting to decoding at this moment

I can post shots of screen captures if u would like or post log files

Jongsul, this information was extremely helpful to me. I have had so many problems trying to burn some series disks (Seinfeld, in particluar). I tried using DVD Decrypter, DVDfab Decrypter, AnyDVD, DVD43 and many others. Everything came up with some sort of error, mostly that the disk was not in DVD format.

I tried your method and it worked flawlessly. Thanks for the post!!

    @ jongsul. read this.http://www.forbes.com/2006/03/10/macrovision-ripguard-0310markets08.html?partner=yahootix.

read all the way, about sony stopping the use of protection.

Nero'd not dare to mess with protection breaking.

Can i have a little look at your log?

Please edit out your serial... You don't want little kiddies activating their Nero apps with your paid for serial... lol

Your firmware is outdated, here's the latest: JY08
    Get it here:
    http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/downloads/720FWJY08/720A_JY08.zip

You might find some bugs along the way with the basic bundle...
Their official site has the latest update.
You're running a bit heavy there... I would close everything in the background when burning.
I would personally use Shrink to keep it under 4300Mb or as we call it - 'the safe zone'.
OMG! CMC Mag... The worst media ever to hit the shops... Verbatims or Taiyo Yuden are top shelf... And not any more expensive than your Memorex/Imation...
I would stick to 4x to be in the safe burning zone especially with those CMC's...

But you made it stick, so congrats! LOL
