Buring Dvd's on a mac, Use toast but do I have to use a program to decrypt?

    So I am trying to burn a dvd. I normally use shrink on my pc but my pc crashed so I am not using a mac. I was told you use toast, however dont I have to decrypt the dvd such as shrink would.

    How would I go about burning a dvd on a mac?

    So I am trying to burn my first dvd using a mac which is better to use for new and old dvd's mac the ripper or handbrake for mac?

    Also I am so used to using anydvd for my old pc that crashed that if there are any settings that need to be changed please let me know. I do not want to waste any dvd's trying to burn.

    Can someone help me out?
