I know Nero can make multiple copies of the same DVD but, assuming one has the necessary number of burners (and, I'm guessing, the necessary processing power), is there any software that can burn 3 unique DVDs at the same time?*

Since Nero seems to utilize 100% of my CPU, I'm guessing I can't run 3 separate instances of it, correct?

*i.e. 3 completely different movies, each burned to it's own DVD, not the same movie burned to 3 different DVDs.

I'm not sure if that would be a good idea. If you run into a 'coaster' on one, it may affect the others.

doing three is a bad idea. i can do 2 at a time and it works just ok. burning three caused problems and i have a very highend machine.

my process was using nero, imgburn and clonedvd 2 running at the same time didn't work well at all

ZoSoIV, so you've been able to do 2 at a time? Which two apps did you run?

Shouldn't this, in theory be feasible? Nero has been fairly stable for quite some time. During those years, CPUs have multiplied a few times in processing power. One would think you could take that increase in processing power and apply it towards separate instances. There's also the recent resurgence of multiple cores. Again, one would think each core could easily be able to handle a separate instance on it's own.

I get the feeling that it's not a case where it can't be done, but that Nero has been too complacent to code it. They've always been a 100% CPU process, and, rather than decreasing that footprint as CPUs got faster, they've just been lazy and kept hogging the whole chip.

doing two at a time i used

    nero

    and

    imgburn

    at the same time

the problem i was having was one program would have buffer problems. so three at a time would def be a problem. and I'm running a quad-core
