Burn avi file onto cd-r with cd burner

    I am trying to find out if it is possible to take a 350mb avi file and burn it onto a cd-r or cd-rw using a cd burner.

    avi2dvd and its a free app! kool also film machine another free app (pro apps)

    and this will convert the file to a dvd file? and that can be burned onto a cd-r?

    nope a svcd file and onto cdr!

    you didnt ask about dvd???

    OK I am using the avi2dvd program and I believe I have everything set correctly but it gives me an application error after only a few seconds. Could this be a lack of space on my computer? Or are there any programs that do the same thing as avi2dvd that I can download?

    TMPGEnc will do it... its free for doing mpeg1(VCD) stuff... 30day trial for mpeg2(SVCD)... Just make sure ur dvd player supports vcd/svcd
