If you want to burn this video as just an AVI data file (that only your computer will be able to playback) then choose "Make Data DVD" in Nero.

If you want to burn this video so that you can watch it on your stand-alone DVD player attached to your TV set, then FIRST you need to convert your AVI file to DVD-files (VOB's) before you burn to disc. In order to do that, do the following:

#1) Take your AVI file and run it through VSO's "divxtodvd" program. It's an awesome (free) utility that will give you DVD-compliant files (VOB's) in a folder on your computer once it's finished processing your AVI file. Download it here:
    http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

#2) Then, go into Nero and select "Burn DVD-Video files". Find the folder that divxtodvd made for you, and add all the VOB files from it... Then, burn away. :)
