I am trying to backup some dvds i own, but they wont play on some of my dvd players. They will play on one dvd player but not the other two. To make the dvds I rip with dvdfab then burn with imgburn
First, use DVD+R discs and be sure to set the booktype to "ROM". ImgBurn should do this for you automatically. That is if your burner handles +R discs. Setting to rom improves compatibility across different players. -R discs can NOT be set to rom. Check Guides for setting booktype or bit setting. Second, not all players handle all disc BRANDS well. What brand are you using? Buy quality. May take some experiment to find a brand that works on each of your machines.
