forums point me in all directions. i have oem nero express 6 and oem lite-on 1633s dvdrw drive. my dma is on. all files in nero tools seem fine...primary master and slave set. what about the system aspi? it says "not installed" in my nero toolkit. though people say that doesnt matter. i updated the flash bios. all that updated was the ability to burn in all regions. i updated nero drivers. that added a cinema program to my files and i still got the same error..and lost all my codecs and dvd player in process. so i dont know if i want to try that again... but it sounds like something is shutting off my burners ability to write, and i wonder if its the disc brand or the dvdburner is faulty now? i just bought a 50 pack spindle of fujifilm dvd-r discs, as i have been using fuji +w with no problems., but this brand is giving me headaches. i just threw out my sony rws as my dvd player wont read them. does my error message sound like the disc is my problem? or is my dvdwriter dying? my errors vary. sometimes it says burn error. illegal disc error. ending communication. now it just says "burn failed at 4x" when i slow the burn. i really dont want to buy more discs, hmmm. after going through 100 duds.... i look at the error log, and i don't know where to start looking for where the problem stems. how can i tell if my dvdrw is capable of writing still? i know it can read information. i reinstalled my whole o/s. nero and dvd burner included in bundle. no further ahead. here's my burn log. thanks to anyone for helping me
