After numerous phone calls & emails to Sony tech support dept, all I got is the run around. All I want is my burner working again...... Can anyone help? From it being brand new, it worked fine a few months with occasional burn errors. I would just reburn. Now it will not even burn at all. I did the disk check sony said to do and it came back all successful. Also did the firmware update. Maybe its a burn software issue? I have NERO 2.0.1.9 I think..... With dvd shrink, it encodes fine Error show everytime as follows: Error:\nCannot connect TRF. 1A23-0609-4030-2333-6402-0097 Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.71 (0002), size=45056 bytes, created 7/17/2002 9:20:56 AM ahead WinASPI: File 'F:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 11/2/2004 1:54:32 PM NT-SPTI used Nero API version: 6.6.1.4 Using interface version: 6.3.1.4 Installed in: F:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\ Application: ahead\Nero - Burning Rom Internal Version: 6, 6, 1, 4d Recorder: <SONY DVD RW DRU-720A> Version: JY08 - HA 1 TA 1 - 6.6.1.4 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : WDC WD2000JB-22GVC0 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615 atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off CdRomPeripheral : SONY DVD RW DRU-720A atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off === CDRom-Device-Map === SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615 D: CDRom0 SONY DVD RW DRU-720A E: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 40894464 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 255MB (261196kB) Free physical memory: 137MB (140748kB) Memory in use : 46 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 20.4.2006 NeroAPI 8:28:37 AM #1 Phase 112 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files reallocation started 8:28:37 AM #2 Phase 114 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 8:28:37 AM #3 Phase 111 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files sorted 8:28:38 AM #4 NEROAPI 7 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3095 Error:\nCannot connect TRF. 8:28:38 AM #5 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 867 DRM: DRM burn session terminated. 8:28:38 AM #6 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 896 DRM: Closing entire DRM handling. Your DMA is currently off and needs to be turn on. Here is a guide on how to turn them on: http://bbmayo.home.comcast.net/checking DMA.pdf
This version of Nero contains some bugs so I would uninstall it, run this clean tool to remove any remaining traces http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and then install this older bug free version from either of these links. http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
Remove all of nero and use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink that is all you need to burn to your blank media. Just make sure to back them up as .iso files. Nero has been the problem through the burning process.
