I tried before to get info, but all suggestions failed. I first use dvd shrink then I burn w/ dvd decryter. About 35% into the burn process I get a failure message. I've copied the log and pasted it below in hopes that some can tell me what's going on. I have burned before with success but recently I have this same problem no matter what movie I try to burn, even homemade slideshows in dvd format. Your firmware is way out of date, and your drive is not liking your disks. I had this drive and it gave me fits, it has problems with media recognition. The current firmware is 0060, and is available here it is listed under the 1008IM http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=7 Remember firmware flashing is risky and is done at your discretion, but if you do not do it the problems will probably continue.
