I have been using nero recode for some time to burn my disc and have not had problems. I am now getting invalid block address I am using anydvd, I shrink with DVD Shrink. Any help?
Recode and DVD Shrink are basically the same program, you shouldn't need to use both. If you have a log file from Nero post it and we will take a look at it. Edit out your serial number. This is an old versio of Nero, try for updates from here http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Needs to be on, go here for a guide to turn on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 Try to install from here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm You also have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, heres a zapper if you want to remove it http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
ok I tried the DMA and followed the instructions but once I rebooted I think I went the opposite direction. At first my secondary IDE Channel had both transfer modes as DMA if available and the current transfer mode on device 1 said PIO only so I removed it as instructed and when I rebooted now device 0 transfer mode says PIO only. I have tried twice and it doesn't change. Now what? thanks
