I started using NERO well over a month ago and have not had any problems at all (Roughly 40 DVD/CD's)until last week when I started getting a calibration error. I cleaned the drive and used the NERO cleaning tool an re-installed NERO. I got one burn on a DVD. Audio CDs are no problem but DVD's just keep getting different errors etc. I have tried 4 different types of disc so I do not think it is the disc. Here is the latest error log:

This error was a new one for me, usually it is a 'write error'. One thing I noticed was the previous disc gave me an option on burn to drop down to 1X or 2X. For some reason NERO is stuck at 4X. Could that be the problem and if so how do I change it to the slower speed. The drop box in the burn section of all the burn areas will not let me go below 4X. Any help would be most highly and deeply appreciated.

    Hi,
Heh, this site doesn't indicate that firmware even being available for your drive....so I can't recommend an update as i don't know what you would update to. Someone will clear this up.

Turn DMA on! See here on how to do it...

Your burner doesn't recognise your media. Try brands such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

Also make sure you burn at 4x with the stated media (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.)

Something is chewing up your memory, dont multitask while burning

As stated these are low quality discs also Sony (made in japan ) are good quality.

This is the LATEST firmware listed for your burner....BSOY
