I have run into troubles trying to get Nero BackItUp 2 to burn a backup to DVD successfully. I tried: -Nero Burning ROM, same set of files: success & verified OK -Nero BackItUp image (to Hard Disk): success & verified OK -Nero BackItUp Burn (to DVD): failed verification on several clusters I first ran on Nero 7.2.3.2b, then reinstalled with 7.0.8.2 with same outcome. I have most recent firmware, I believe (KYS4) for my Sony DW-Q28A. Norton AntiVirus is disabled. Files being backed up are non-volatile (unchanging, non-system). I ran MemTest86+ on my 3GB RAM and was successful on 7+ passes. Computer is AMD64 3800 x 2 with no other apps running. -No compression, no encryption, "old backup style" -I tried a burn @ 8x (max), and it failed. -I tried a burn @ 4x (min), and it failed. Media is Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R (single layer), which should be high quality. I then ran CD/DVD InfoTool and performed a Quality Test on one of the 8x burns: -It shows 95% quality rating with a max PI of 2, no PO. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
