Hey guys, was wondering if you could help me solve the mystery of these failed burns...started happening a day ago with when I was writing to some CDRWs but Nero works perfectly fine with burning DVD .isos. I updated Nero to its latest version (fyi) *shrugs*. Anyways I'll let the log tell the story....thank you for any help!

    Nero 6.6.1.4

This version of Nero contains some bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and then install this more stable version, BOTH packages

    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

    Package 2
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

You can also update your firmware from here

    http://www.de.nec.de/software/2484_FW_ND-2510A_win219-20A.zip

    Here's what I did:

    1) Uninstalled the latest version of Nero
    2) Ran the Cleantool (ended up getting a runtime error during ti...not sure if that screwed things up)
    3) Ran cleantool again but it believed I had already ran it
    4) Installed ver. 6.6.0.18 (both packages) for Nero
    5) Updated Firmware for the drive
    6) Ran RoxioZapIt and it had completed its thing....problem is, I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 ...not Versions 4 or 5 like the RoxioZapIt was looking for. So I'm not sure if there's an updated version of the RoxioZapIt?
    7) I tried manually uninstalled Roxio...it wouldn't let me because it couldn't find a certificate file? I'll try to look into this...

Oh and the burn didn't work still. Any suggestions? (thanks for the reply)

Update: I tried burning a single file on the same disc...worked fine. My other Nero project wasn't over the disc capacity or anything though....which kind of puzzles me

I can see 2 things from your last log

Not real good quality discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

    also

Far too slow for a CD...try at around 24-32X

Turns out it was just the discs (although the other fixes probably could have contributed to the end solution). They were used and definitely needing to be thrown out. Thanks a lot for your help!
