your drive needs a firmware update to FSOK: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces Turn on DMA: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues you're at the minimum requirement of memory... I'd get more! I'd use better media than that. Some members say that Ritek is good media.... I prefer the best: Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony, Maxell----Made in Japan Media! the program is having a hard time recognizing your disk. Try using better media or check to see that your disk isn't scratched or dirty. If it's ok then it's just not recognizing your disk, therefor you are getting a: just a few things I found..... maybe someone else can find more!
Update Nero to 6.6.0.18 here, http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe oops, IHoe beat me to it. Follow his advice.
I tried Taiyo Yuden, but got same thing. Before I updated firmware I tried on my newer computer (which runs a higher version of NERO) and was able to burn fine. Thanks for the suggestions.
