I have nero 6, when I try to make a copy of my backup dvd I get the burn failure message. It doesn't happen on all of the copies and all of them were made around the same time. Below is a copy of the log. Any suggestions? aaaaaaaa Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.68, size=160016 bytes, created 7/22/2004 6:33:44 PM Nero version: 6.3.1.19 (Nero Express) Recorder: <SONY DVD RW DRU-710A> Version: BYX5 - HA 2 TA 3 - 6.3.1.19 Adapter driver: <> HA 2 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? @howdahell Here's some suggestions. 1st let's edit out that serial # - begins w/ 1A22. Don't need someone else using it! Your Nero can use an update - update to there (package 1 and 2) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Free up some memory - total is good but your using 76%. No multi tasking and shut down any unnessecary processes. Turn this option off - probably most of the reason the burn failed. Burning on the fly is done is 'real' time so any little glitch like the read error you receive and bam burned failed. Better to save to the hard drive 1st even if temporarily. Also try cleaning the disc off w/ something non abrasive - may have a fingerprint etc. Great media!! If you still have a problem after these suggestions on copying the backup then try DVD Decrypter to rip - you can then either burn w/ Decrypter (if ripping in iso mode) or Nero. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ Let us know how it goes - good, bad or otherwise! edit:fix links
