Hello, I want to be able to put a copy of my Movie & .Tif fles onto a DVD-R or DVD+RW & be able to open up selected files & edit them like I can do from the My Pictures in Win XP.
I have copied all of my files onto several DVD-R discs but seem to be ,vob files & only play on my DVD player. Can anyone please tell me which codec I should use so I can open them on my pc & edit them. Thanks Mac

sounds like what you did was re-encode the files into a DVD-Video by mistake, rather than just putting the file on to the disc as files.

You may find that TMPGEnc or DVD Shrink may let you re-edit the files into a format you can work with....

In order to edit them you must put them back on your PC.
