I have burned many dvds and then it just stoped working giving me burn failers. I tried different types of data. It reads dvds, cds, burns cds. Hi. Just a quick scan. I think you are trying to burn too fast with poor quality media. Slow down to 4X and see if that helps. Also you're using CMC Mag media which is among the poorer quality media. If problems persist and if you have any Roxio software like Easy Media Creator installed, uninstall it and run the Roxio Zapper to remove the Roxio driver, i.e., CDRALW2K.SYS. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/EE6000061 I'm guessing you have a Gateway laptop based on the firmware version of the burner. You might want to go to the Gateway support site and see if there's a firmware update available for your burner. You might also try using ImgBurn to burn your ISO images.
