    Hi myrothe
Well let's see if we can help you get this sorted.
    Here's some suggestions:
Turn DMA back on for these drives. Here's a link:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
Good total memory. But alot is in use. Free some up - no multi tasking & shut down any unnecessary processes.
Ok media - your drive's firmware is up to date.
Have you tried any other media?
Try taking it down to 4x.

Try those and let us know how it goes - good, bad or otherwise!

Well it failed again, same error, etc eve though I changed it to DMA and burned at 4x. However...this is the weird part...even though it said it failed and had errors the disc works. And actually the first one I burned does too. I havent watched it all the way through but I have flipped around to different special features and chapters randomly and they actually seem to be working. Weird

Im not an expert but according to other users who have helped me the version of nero that are using

seems to have some bugs. They have told me to uninstall that one and run this clean tool:

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

then download this free version of 7.0.8.2 which seems to be the least buggy:

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

once again, im not an expert, just passing on info ive seen in the past :)

    @myrothe
Yes it is weird:) From your log it's looks like the burn was almost done before the error pops up. Nero didn't get a chance to fianlize the disc so it may not be playable in some players. Then depending where it failed all the info may not be on the disc.

I've seen 'error reading data' before in a few different versions of Nero. So your version of nero may not be the culprit here.

What type of file(s) are your trying to burn - ie. video_ts folder already on hard or from another disc.
Is this the only time (with these files) that you have received this error?

Its just with these files. Its a complete dvd of the Online fan series Star Trek New Voyages. Its quite possible at this point that its just the files that have a problem. I do appreciate all of the help however. At least i found out I was in PIO mode :)

Anyway, strangely enough the whole dvd plays (special features, chapters and all) and works in my computer, my dvd player, and my Xbox360 so I got no worries. Thanks again though everyone :) Do appreciate the help.
