    Hi Guys

I recently bought a DVD burner to "BACKUP" xbox games. I copied Lord of the rings two towers to my hdd from the xbox, I then burnt it to DVD-R usin Primo DVD. When I try to play it, it goes through the intro then just before you get to the bit that enables you to load the game, it comes up with an error message that says the disk may be damaged, the error message seems to be part of the game software

(Im guessing becuase it has the same style fonts etc.. as the rest of the game).

I know the DVD's should be OK as I burned a wakeboarding game that I downloaded from the net and it works fine. I have downloaded it to my Xbox HDD and the same, however when I try to execute the game it freeses a few seconds after it begins loading

Do I have to do anything special to get this going, ie patch the games, copy differently etc...

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Ryan Malone

ok, first of all, you can't discuss downloading games here, it can be viewed as discussing piracy and will not be tolerated (yes, even if you own the game, doesn't matter). I just did LOTR:TT yesterday and it was a pain in the ass. after getting it all transfered to the PC, craxtion made the iso with no problems but nero kept giving me the "incorrect block size" error. well after making 5 different iso's and all of them giving me the same error, i switched to a program call ISOcreator that runs in a DOS window, that finally made the correct ISO and nero burned it no problem. TT does not need to be patched. You might want to try a different program for making the ISO, but for Dank's sake, stay away from xISO, it gives people alot of problems and there's many more iso making programs out there.

Thanks Matador, I copied it to my PC VIA FTP then back again. Is the Phoenix Loader necessary on the XBOX?

Phoenix Loader is only necessary for people that have old modchips that don't have the disable switch. And for people using audio/font hacks..As a mod chip solution.
