I've had a dvd burner for about a year that I never used. I just got some empty dvd's and wanted to backup some files on my computer. I have Nero 6.6.0.13. I tried doing some different stuff from various faqs, but I don't really know what I should do and shouldn't. Anyway, I hope someone can help find and maybe even correct whatever problem it is that I have!

    Logfile in next post.

Okay, so I tried looking for some firmware here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php

I couldnt really find anything my drive isnt listed anyway, not too sure what I'm looking for still. Sadly I know shit about this stuff, could you elaborate on how to update my firmware?

btw I was just able to burn two pics on a (third) new dvd, but when I tried to burn more it gave an error again.

    aye....
    ,

although, you shouldnt need to uncheck multi session,as you are only burning small amounts of data, and it appears this is what you want to do,especially as you are using dvd+rw

use dvd decrypter to search for firmware updates
    tools>drives>"search for firmare updates"

download the latest for your drive, and flash it

    - ASPI layer is out of date. Get latest 4.71 here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm

    - try this to see if it corrects the question marks, ie driver doesn't look to be loaded correctly - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm
