Nero burns a little bit and then i get an error (usually SCSI Command Aborted) I have tried the following to resolve the issue:- - Uninstall the drive, and let windows pick it up after reboot - Updated IDE drivers - Updated ASPI layers - Tried to burn with other software (WinAVI, DVD Decrypter, Roxio) - Remove the cabling and made sure they are plugged in properly Here is the latest log from nero: Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.71 (0002), size=45056 bytes, created 17/07/2002 09:20:56 ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 18/11/2005 13:29:56 Nero Version: 6.6.0.13 Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 13c Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B>Version: A201 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.13 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B>Version: A201 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.0.13 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : ST380011A atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B E: CDRom0 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 70254592 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 479MB (490992kB) Free physical memory: 120MB (123056kB) Memory in use : 74 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 18.11.2005 UDF/ISO compilation 14:00:49 #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation started 14:00:49 #2 Phase 114 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files reallocation completed (no file modified) 14:00:49 #3 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6194 Iso document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet :FALSE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 14:00:49 #4 Phase 111 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1832 DVD-Video files sorted 14:00:49 #5 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 14:00:49 #6 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 122 Writer HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B running 14:00:49 #7 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3293 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 14:00:49 #8 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3293 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 14:00:49 #9 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3167 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using DVD media 14:00:49 #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 260 Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45, 4489MB) Last address to be written: 1050143 (233:21.68, 2051MB) 14:00:49 #11 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 272 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 14:00:49 #12 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2339 Recorder: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B, Media type: DVD-R Disc Manufacturer: RITEKG - 04 Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193 14:00:49 #13 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 438 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= 14:00:49 #14 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 830 Setup items (after recorder preparation) 0: TRM_DATA_MODE1 () 2 indices, index0 (150) not provided original disc pos #0 + 1050144 (1050144) = #1050144/233:21.69 relocatable, disc pos for caching/writing not required/ required, no patch infos -> TRM_DATA_MODE1, 2048, config 0, wanted index0 0 blocks, length 1050144 blocks [HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B] -------------------------------------------------------------- 14:00:49 #15 Text 0 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1043 Prepare recorder [HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B] for write in CUE-sheet-DAO DAO infos: ========== MCN: "" TOCType: 0x00; Looks like you are about 8 firmware updates behind. Current is A209 and yours is A201 Go here to update: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces This may help. For some reason this does not look right to me, but I am new to reading logs: I am sure that someone like creaky will jump in shortly. You might want to try and free up some system resources as well.
