Burn PS2 Games at 1x Using Nero - Help

i am trying to create ps2 game backups using nero 6.0

the games copy fine at 2.4x but then when i play them they load up but crash shortly after loading. i need to know how to copy them at 1x because the only option available is 2.4x or 4x.

would anybody recommend any other programs for copying ps2 games such as clonecd which i heard was very good.

 

i am using sumvision DVD-R (grade a media)

would the problem be using dvd-r instead of dvd+r

 

How are you booting your games? I burn at 2.4, no problems at all, you might need better media, try ritek GO4 dvd-r or you could try using dvd dycrypter to burn and see if that helps..

 

i hav tried using dvd decrypter and it is rubbish.

is cloneDVD any good?

 

Clone dvd only does dvds, it CANT backup PS2 games. Dvd Decrypter is perfect for PS2 backups, no problems at all. why do you say its rubbish?

I would have to say it is the media you are using. I do all my backups with DVD Decrypter and i have never had a problem. What type of burner do u use>>>???

 

Hey man I was wondering.... have you got the latest version of NERO???
I have a Pioneer DVD-RW and I make backups just with the DvD copy comand from the Nero startup wisard.

I never had any probs. Try to upgrate your software.

 

BTW SuperLFC, are you burning on +R media? +R media does not support 1x burning since the lowest speed for the +R media specification is 2.4x which would explain why that is the only option available to you. Your PS2 also may have problems reading +R media that would cause the issue you are having. Try getting high quality DVD-R media and see if you can burn at 1x and solve your problem.

 

SuperLFC, do you have a MOD chip installed? You need it to play copied discs. If you notice, Icemonkey lists a Magic V chip.

 

Personnaly I have found that the myth of burning at 1X is overrated. As long as you have quality media (Verbatim, Memorex, etc..) you can burn at 4X. Don't buy into the hype.

 

With dvd+R as long as you have quality media you dont have to worry about burn speeds. Burning PS2 games at 1x only concerns dvd-r media.

 

I Have a LG Multi format Dual Layer burner and i use princo DVD-r i have a chip but my ps2 wont play the copyied games i use DVD Dycrypter and i tried alcahol 120% bu neither work.

 

Like i said a month ago "prankster"... try using ritek go4 =)

but i recieve the error while he is trying to READ the dvd i tried with nero 6.0 and alcohol120%...
any tips?
or is that game just over-protected?

Stof, is your game scratched? what game? Try using dvd decrypter.
And jordanmc, avoid bulkpaq, unless you want a few coasters!
bulkplop in my opinion are total crap and will wear your PS2's laser down faster than sh*t, which will then give you disk read errors, so dont use em!
Stick with ritek G04 dvd-r or similar quality disks =)

 

Hey guys. I just downloaded GTA SA but how do i burn it. It has a Winrar file which i unzipped but i cant find a iso or bin file can anyone help me?
