Can I slow a +R down to 1x? I have tried with 120% and it still jumps to 2.4x. Is it me or the media?
Why would you want to slow it down anymore than it'salready slow speed? Are you doing video or data? I have'nt done many data backups to dvd but for video a speed of 2.4 should be okay ! many of the afterdawn members burn video @ 4x or higher in their dvd burners with quality results . And if your using a stand alone dvd recorder as long as you are using the proper format of dvdr media for your deck it will handle the speed issue for you - but allow you different time lengths to record somewhat like a VCR which they are replacing !
