Burn Speed

I'm new to Nero. I received Nero 7.5 Ultra for xmas. It takes 18+ hrs. to burn a disc. How do I adjust the burn speed? I know it shouldn't take that long. I have a Pioneer burner. Please help.

Just check to see if your DMA is turned on, heres a link to a guide to turn it on

have been baffled using nero 6 and was wondering if I can control burn speed. my burners are 16x and most of my disks are 8x and it still wants to burn at 16x is there a way I can set my burn speed on an individual basis usin these programs
using any dvd , shrink, and dvd decrypter and clone dvd2
