I just copied a movie with DVD Shrink but cannot figure out if I can burn a new disc from there? I tried to go to DVD Decrypter but it would read the TS file.

Any help with burning a DVD after schrinking it would be appreciated.

Hi Jane, Once shrink has ripped the movie files to your HD, then you need a burning program to put it back on the blank media. The most common choice is Nero version 5.5 or above. I use just the Nero Express-dvd video section.
When you open this window, you will see 2 folders made by Nero on the left side. AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. On the right is an add button. Click it and browse to the location shrink saved your movie. Then add or drag all those files INTO the VIDEO_TS folder. The AUDIO_TS folder stays empty. Then click burn. You can download the trial version of Nero if you don't have it. Also your total file size Shrink made for you has to be 4.4gig or less to fit the blank disc.

    1) Rip and compress with DVD Shrink. (If shrink won't rip it, rip with DVD Decrypter in FILE mode then compress with shrink)
    2) The output files shrink created should then be put into a folder named VIDEO_TS
    3) Burn that folder onto a dvdr using any dvd enabled burning software in data mode, or, if u use Nero, drag and drop the files that shrink created (not the folder)into the VIDEO_TS folder that Nero provides in the wizard in DVD-Video mode.
    4) Watch yer movie.

There are several good guides available here at AD that walk you thru each step. I suggest trying one of those if the instructions above don't help u.

I have DVD Decrypter on my computer - when I try to go in and select source - it won't show the files I just shrunk -- I assume it doesn't support the TS files. I have Smart Ripper and DVD Clone but cant figure out how to find the files to burn them to dvd.

I have xcopy express - which I paid for and cannot burn anything but a DVD+RW on it and then it won't play in one of my players. so I tried copying my DVD+RW to DVD+R using Clone, Smart Ripper and DVD Decrypter and cannot make it work. Never get a usuable disk.

download dvd shrink and burn with inter-video dvd software this backs up all encrypted dvds i have done both of the lord of the rings special editions just shrink and then open int-vid and look for folder dvd shrinks and as long as your discs are half decent they will play on all players and even playstation 2's
its the business this is a better way than decrypter as it will demacro and no region the disk...you will have to buy inter -video's software butb its better than all the others as i have spent £'s on them ..good luck
