you mean it can't read copied cd's right? If it's just a "regular" xbox, it's definately [bold]not[/bold] going to read a copied game disc(if that is what your referring to).If your talking about reading a dashboard boot disc or a bios disc, you'll probably have to get a quality cdrw disc. Alot of times people will blame the media(disc) yet in reality, it wasn't burned correctly.
If your xbox isn't modified, it doesn't matter if you have the [bold]entire[/bold] xbox library of games backed up on disc.Your xbox wont play or recognize the disc.

that can be tricky, you [bold]can[/bold] get an original xbox to read burned audio discs but it's hit and miss(most of the time miss). You'll probably spend alot of time and money buying different brands of cdr's and cdrw's and none of them will work(especially with a 1.0 xbox). My recommendation = softmod or install a modchip

it really all depends on how you have the audio file formatted and the drive you have in your xbox, a thompson drive will read cdrw's fine, a samsung drive won't but will read cdr's fine neither one will read mp3 file's, so you have to convert the mp3's to wav then burn to cdr or rw depending on drive, it's best for a cdrw but still you can only get 10 to 12 songs per disk depending on file size, buy a xenium sp ice, completely solderless, install it and then you can ftp mp3's over and save all that extra space, where a mp3 file is 3 to 5 megs, the same wav file can be 25 to 40 megs.

have you tried cdrw, different brand cdr, or an audio cdr. it will read them your just not burning to a disc that is compatible, if your talking about a real cd not a mp3 one.

first thing I reccommend is to go out and buy a cdrw and try that.

Just use a CDRW,burn it SLOW,and you should not have a problem copying it to your Xbox. I have a 1.0 xbox and use Staples and Memorex CDRW with no problems...emphasis on burning slow,as in 2x. Also, don't use a disc that was already burned and try to use it. It won't work. Use a new disc.

the most easy way to get music to your Xbox is with a softmod, then you just ftp and add them to a music folder on the HD
