I have a question and I cant seem to find any anwsers for why this is happening. I use DVD shrink to encode my dvd and then NERO to burn it. Sometimes it works fine and the burn is flawless and then other times while it seems to burn correct The dvd movies breaks up into pieces while im watching it and jams. My question is why is this happening? Is it the software im using or the blank DVD's or my burner. I have a brand new XPS Dell pc and im using "Verbatim White inkjet printable DVD +R Disks 16x 4.7 GB" I really am at a loss here and i have no idea how to correct this problem. Sometimes ill examine the disc and see there is dark spots that look like it it is missing when burning.
if the movie is "breaking up" then it might be the security encyption that is stronger on some discs than it is on others. shrink has worked just fine for me but once in a long while i use dvd decryptor (free download) to decode before using shrink. also, try not to run any other programs while running shrink on a dvd and make sure you don't have spyware or adware on your computer that might be running its own programs. that will just slow you down and probably cause errors. remember, dvd encoding (which is what shrink is doing) is very cpu intensive. so its best to just let that run alone.
