I am really having a big problem trying to get my dvds to play on my apex dvd player. i have a cendyne(pioneer dvd-rw dvr105 drive)i have'nt had much success with it. i rip with decrypter software then compress the movie with dvd2one113 software. i burn with nero 5.5. i get a response from nero the i have a successful burned dvd. i check to see if it will play first on my computer,no problem at all. then i try on my dvd player i then get the message disc error. i have mess up several different disc. i have used the following disc Hypermedia, imation and Ritek PrimeDisc and they all do the same. i don't know what the problem is. can someone help me please. I have even use RecordNow software to burn and still get the same thing.
strange for an apex they normally play everything, have you tryed your disc in another make of dvd player rather than your pc as they tend to play everything that will rule out the method your using and the media (though i use your method no probs), you might have picked up a dud apex that dosent play dvd-r, depends on the age of it, older dvd players like samsung 709 wont play dvd-r's. Another thing if you are putting them on dvd-rw that might be a the problem alot of machines dont like them. hope you sort it out_X_X_X_X_X_[small]a wise man one said...........[/small]
I had this problem before your problem it's Nero. Don't burn with Nero, try to use RecordNowMax, just make a data job and burn the video_ts and audio_ts.
I tried using RecordNowMax but it does the same as nero. I can burn them and they will play only on my computer. I have deleted nero and installed RecordNowMax and I get the same results. Disc error is displayed on the screen when i attempt to play it on my dvd player. My player is a emerson combo not apex. sorry about the brand mistake.
Well if you have tried nero (no good) and also tried recnowmax (still no good). I must admit, recnowmax is very highly compatible so therefore: Do as sheppy124 suggested by trying it in someone elses standalone. Check out your standalones compatibility on www.dvdrhelp.com (player compatibility section) (I would say your player may not be compatible) However in nero, try to burn using the UDF only option, this solved an issue I had, and it may also solve yours. (no guarantee with the above, but it is worth a go.)
IHAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND THE SAME BURNER AND I KNOW THATS IS NOT MY DVD PLAYER CUS WHEN I PLAY OTHER BURNED DVD'S THEY PLAY FINE I PLAY THEM IN MY XBOX. AND I AM RUNNING xp AND USINF THE SAME PROGRAMS SO MAYBE WITH UR HELP WE CAN GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS THANXS
It seems we have a standalone compatibility problem here we need to know ur EXACT process. What do you rip with. and how What do you process with, do have a VIDEO_TS folder to burn. What files are in your VIDEO_TS folder. What programs and versions are you using to burn with. And finally what standalones r u using, make and model.
i seem to be having similar problems, I am burning DVD's using decrypter,DvD2one,and Nero. When I burn a backup from an original it wont play on certain peoples players (especially Samsungs) yet they will play DVD-r I have burnt from copies such as screeners etc. weird I know, If anyone has any idea what is going on please let me know.
I had sort of the same problem, all I did was push the "next Chapter" button then the disc started to play... go figure. I had this happen on several disc within a spindal. It doesn't happen any more, maybe some bad disc. sirmugen
