Burned dvd won't play says it need to be initialized

    Burned a movie using Liteon burner and Infrarecorder. Burned clean and when I put in Samsung DVD player, the player says it need to be initialized. If answer yes it says the disc is empty. If answer is no the disc ejects. Disc plays on PC.
    We were doing this on laptop before and it worked well. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Was it an .avi file or a DVD movie (a VIDEO_TS folder)?
    If you converted an .avi file to DVD format, did you ensure the output was set for NTSC (North America) or PAL (EU and Australasia).
