I have burned both downloaded ISO's and also ripped IFOs with DECRYPTER. (DVD-R) I have changed regions and also authored using DVDsanta. I have burnt both with DVDdecrypter and DVDSanta

Here is the strange part. They always play on my computer'sDVD drives ( Sony and LG ) and als my portable DVD player (Initial brand bought at WalMart) But they wont play on my new Toshiba and my Sanyo DVD player. I get the vertical hold not locking and the pic is fuzzy but in B&W. If put into the portable (Initial) they play perfectly.

Is there some other protection I'm running into? Anybody know how to get around this??

Some players just can't handle some copies. This can have various reasons, in my experience mostly the used DVD-/+R(W) media or the compatibility of the hardware...

Try another media brand (I use RICOHJPNR02 mediacode, runs on almost everything!).
