burned movie played too fast on dvd player..please help

    Dear members please advise me : i have sonic mydvd software ver. 4.5 (old one) i insist not to upgrade and ask you please to help me find solution to this problem: i burn downloaded (emule etc..)movies (avi mpg etc..) with mydvd software and it convert the movie to VCD , i put disc on my dvd player (multi region pal/ntsc) BUT the movie run fast as if i do fast forward , the picture great but sound is funny :) is there anything i can do if i insist use this software ? please help if you know

    How fast did you burn the movie? :)

    Now that is very strange indeed! Players can pften do this when the birate of VCD is wrong but if it was encoded to VCD then it wouldnt be. Are you sure your DVD player is OK with playing VCD's? you can check for comments at http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

    Also it just may be your choice of CD-R media or as Praetor said, your Burn Speed of the movie, burning VCD is actually not recomended anything over 4x, I burn at 8x if its VCD or SVCD!
