I'm fairly confident the burner has seen better days, but I'll ask anyway. I have a Yamaha CRW3200E. The drive works fine for playing cd's. If I try to burn a cd using musicmatch, nero, and nti cd maker, they all some write progress and successful completion of the burn. When I insert the disc back in XP asks which program to use for the blank cd. If I look at the dics in explorer the dick is blank. I have tried the programs mentioned earlier and 3 different media TDK, Memorex, & Phillips. I've has other writters fail and usually the software tells you burn failed. Any ideas?
i wud run windows update and see if that cures anything , if it doesnt check for a firmware update for ur yamaha ,, hopefully that shud sort u out .....
