Burner problem

    Hi all,

    Hop[e this is in right section


    My CD/DVD Burner/reader will Read CD's But will NOT BURN cd's or DVD's

    How can I fix this? I can watch movies and play music but it wont let me burn anything. Any help would be great

    Is it a "burner"?
    Has it ever been used to burn a CD or DVD?
    What program did you use to burn a disk?
    Is it an internal or external unit?
    If you click on it's properties, is there a 'Recording' tab.
    Is recording enabled?
    If you are running XP, insert a disk and drag a file onto the drive.Does the CD writing Wizard offer to burn the file.
