Would anybody happen to know why my burner skips a little spot when I burn a DVD? After I burn a DVD video or data disc both my burners leave a little blank spot and when I watch the movie it stops and skips about 30 seconds of video then goes back on normal..could it be the burner or computer? I use Nero also

What media (brand of disk) are you using?
    What make/model is your drive?
What speed are you burning at?

Also, try cleaning your dvd drive laser with a cotton bud and some rubbing alcohol. Ten secs with alcohol on, rubbing the laser in small circles. Then, 10 secs rubbing your laser with the dry end of the bud, making sure to remvoe any residue you may have left on the laser. This is perfectly safe BTW, as long as you do it like explained :)

The Brand of Disc I am using is Memorex but they have been working fine before...Both of my burners do the same the first is a HP dvd 740b(LightScribe) & the other is HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4164B - its a dual layer Burner & it came with the computer..The burner always sets itself automatically to 4x burning speed...Would a laser lens cleaner also work?

Also, Laser lens cleaner should be just fine :)
