    hi all

i have a quick question. when ever i burn a 360 game imbgburn always crashes when verifying the disk.

    looks somthing like this

    I 13:30:13 Verifying Session 1 of 1... (1 Track, LBA: 0 - 3697695)
    I 13:30:13 Verifying Track 1 of 1... (MODE1/2048, LBA: 0 - 3697695)
    I 13:30:13 Verifying Layer 0... (LBA: 0 - 1913759)

and stops. the games seem to work fine in the xbox, sometimes i have issues with it saying the disk is dirty when its not and i have to reset which is annoying.

thus i tend to install the game on the ardrive to prevent this, other then that i dont have any problems. so im wondering why im getting this error when burning games.

Right, What firmware do you have? LT? also do you use the Wave patcher?...Games that are copied need to be wave patcher or use the activate.iso to boot if you dont have LT.

Also it could be a problem with your burner.. Check around this forum to see if its a suitable drive.

    Hope this helps

I just burned a xbox 360 game on imgburn. When I put it in the game system it read the disc then said, "this disc must be played in a xbox 360 console". What am I doing wrong?

    L0 = 1913760

Where it says "LBA: 0 -" change the number to 1913760

and make sure its the first layer only!

    :) hope this helps

Layer break should set it to burn in first layer only... IMGburn will tell you that your burning on the first layer only... Make sure you read the error..

it'll say "Hey, I've noticed your only burning to the first layer and its a dual layer DVD, because of how good i am do you want me to set this to burn on two layers?"

or something like that..Just make sure you read it...Even when you set it correctly... ti still writes 0's to the 2nd layer so when you see that been burnt dont panic :p

MUNKYEARS - What you said in that last post only applies to burning the activate.iso disc, not Xbox 360 games.

    Also, this is correct: -

Because 1913760 is the next number following on from that, which denotes the start of the second layer.

There's no issue with your settings broughsta. It could just be that your burner can't read that particular media too well. Try using Verbatims.

    Just to clear things up...

    Has it been flashed?

i know it sounds like im thinking your a fool, but its a common mistake for people who just think they can burn discs and expect it to work.

Sorry but had to be asked

    Good job i asked :p...

Right, I'm sure someone has wrote a guide on this forum, its around here somewhere...

Flashing it, means to replace the software on the DVD drive in the xbox to allow it to read copied games... Keep the copies of your games safe, they will keep till later after the flashing process.

For a start your gonna need to do two things. I dont know how technical minded you are at this but ill do my best to make it easier for you.

heres an outline of how this will need to be done:
    1: break open the xbox.
2: Pull the xbox dvd drive out
3: Buy a ki called the CK3 Pro/lite either will do.
4 connect it to a computer, Download a program and retrieve the DVD password from the drive.
    etc...

    Sorry its a brief outline...
Ill see if i can dig up the drive

    Hope this helps a little
