newbie here. if i'm in the wrong forum i do apoligize moderators. Anyway like the subject says i have a 5.4GB .bin file i need to try to fit into a 4.7GB disk. Is there a way i can use winrar to extract the 5.4GB .bin file and split half on one disk and another on the other disk and burn with nero. Im new to this kind of talk. Can it be done without me having to buy the super EXPENSIVE DL disk. i'm on a budget and have lots of 4.7GB disk on hand...thank you for your help...

Alcohol 120 handles bin files. Also, what is in the bin file. A lot of what you can do depends on what you have and what you try to do with it. If it's a movie, then you can compress it to fit a DVD5 disc, which is 4.37GB.

You're getting into some complicated work. First of all you have to convert the format to DVD and then compress if you're wanting to make a DVD backup. You need to search some threads, that has been covered many times already.

hey i think dvd decrypter just came out with a guide on how to convert bin files to dvd and then you could use dvd shrink to compress it and then use nero to burn it...good luck

just load the image file into a virtual drive (eg: alcohol 120% or daemon tools) then re-author/compress with DVD-Srhink, Burn :)
