Hi, I have a game that it's size is about 6.10GBs, I want to burn this game on a DVD disc, that means 2 discs, and I have it in a folder -not .iso file- and I want to burn every part on a 4.7GB DVD-R disc. By the way, I'm new in here, so I don't know if I can post my subject in this forum or in another one. Waiting for your help.
You should probably state what kind of console you have. Anyway, you need Dual Layer media to burn a file that large to; I do not think it's possible to burn a game to separate discs as parts. I'll request this be moved to the correct forum once you state your type of console.
I want to play this game on my PC. If you need anything else to know, no problem, but please hurry up. And thanks again to every one who visited my post.
So it's a PC game? You don't need to burn it to anything, you can just mount the .iso file with DAEMON Tools and play it that way. Take a look at this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/453492 If it's not a PC game and you want to play it on your PC, then, well, tough. Also, we're not obliged to help you and we reply at our own pace and leisure; bear that in mind.
Hi, Thank you for the guide that was useful, but I need to burn this game on two DVD-R 4.7GB discs, because with the Daemon-Tools I can play it only on my own PC and I want to run it on another PC, I tried putting it in a RAR but when I burn it, I burns the RAR file but I want to burn the folder itself -like when it starts burning on the first disc it uses the whole 4GBs, and when the disc is full, it asks me to put another disc- if that's possible so tell me, if not, then thank you for your great help. Thanks again.
You can't split a single DVD game into two smaller DVDs. Besides, it'd be cheaper and easier to install Daemon Tools on the other PC.
But how will I run the game on the other PC, if I only have it in my own HD. Don't tell me to use a 8GBs disc, because in my country it's very expensive. If there's any possible way to burn it on a DVD-R disc(s) please tell me, if not, then thanks again.
Where do you live? Anyway, yes, you could split it into rar archives and burn them as a data disc. Then, you'd copy those rars onto the person's HDD and extract the .iso there. But there's no way you could make two playable discs, AFAIK.
Okay, I was hopping there's another way, but no problem, if splitting the file using RAR will solve the case. And I live in Israel. Thank You For Your Help. *Now should I close the post, or what to do. And if I have to close it;How?
