there is a firmware update for your burner. Do that and see if it helps: http://www.teac.co.jp/dspd/download/firmware/cd-w54e/explain.html
i read the read me with that and it says win 95/me/98..i have xp point me in the right direction for my error log im there just dont know where to find it exactly C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero right folder?
I know it says the firmware is for Win 98/Me or whatever... You should be okay. You can use older software with newer Windows editions, but not viceversa. So update it. You can find the error log in: ProgramFiles/Ahead/Nero/NeroHistory.log for nero 6 and ProgramFiles\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.log for nero 7.
i double click the updater and for a split second i see a screen pop up and vanish...its not letting me i dont believe cause i have XP
Make sure you have turned off any pop-up bloker9including yahoo toolbar if you have it), firewall, antivirus... Also, remove any CD from your drive and close any other applications.
ok i opened up the log.........do u want me to post the entire thing? or you looking for something in particular on a side note yesterday i was able to burn a cd successfully
