I have a problem. When I'm burning movies on Nero 6 and play it on my DVD player, it cuts off a little bit of the bottom and the top so that some of the subtitles on the bottom is cut off. This is a big problem since I burn anime subtitled movies.

How do I make it so that when I burn a DVD, it would show the entire area of the movie? I put it on NTSC at 16:9.

Is there an option there somewhere that'll show the entire thing?

    Hello,

Are you using NeroVision Express for the conversion to DVD? If so try one of the other conversion programs.

    VSO's ConvertXtoDVD: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
    DVD Copy 4 Platinum: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/InterVideoDVDCopy_Profile.jsp
    TMPGEnc Express 3: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/te3xp.html
    DVD Santa: http://www.dvdsanta.com/
    The Film Machine: http://members.home.nl/thefilmmachine/

Most have free trials. DVD Santa and ConvertX watermark the trial version output.

Yea I use Nero to do all of that.

So, I just use these otehr prorgrams to convert, then use Nero to burn? Or they do it all? I like Nero's DVD menu maker. Do these programs have that?

I think only NVE has the menu function. The others burn a disk or make an ISO image file. You could try one of the other programs and see if they do a better conversion job. If they do, either output an ISO or burn to a RW DVD. Then use TMPGEnc Author 1.6 to make the menus. Version 1.6 has a fully functioning free trial. I'm a big fan of TMPGEnc Author. I hate NVE and use it only as a last resort.

Do the clips play OK before conversion by Nero? It's possible that the clips were originally in PAL and were converted to NTSC broadcast format or v.v. cutting off part of the picture.
