burning a game with safedisk 1

I own Tiberian Sun, and I would like to make a copy of it. According to Aray scanner, it has safe disk 1 protection. Using Alchohol 120%, I selected to make an ISO image and selected safe disk and left everything else as it was. When It went to burn, however, I left it for 5 minutes and came back to see it 1.5% done with a huge block of error messages. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible the error is just caused by a scratch? Should I set the write speed lower? Will I be better off with other burning software?

 

What make and model reader/burner are you using? Some will not 'backup' a safedisc protected disc

 

These errors are perfectly normal with Safedisc protections. The process is pretty slow in the beginning but it will speed up after the 10,000 or so error block, just let Alcohol do its thing and you will be ready to roll.
