burning an mpeg2 file to a disc

will this play on a dvd player or do i have to make it an iso, how does that work exactly?

@ shagohod: if your file is already mpeg2 then you are already in the right format to burn your file to dvd and then watch it in a standalone dvd player.You can use nero, imgburn, roxio or whatever your burning application is to get your project to disc
