hello, hope every one is ok. herres my problem: when i try to burn with nero 5. i get a message that my source and destination drives are connected to the same ide bus. i clik past this and burn. result is not very good, clicks jitters and skips. i try my ezcd creator and it readsd error message: engine not initialized. what up?? thanks
The eroor message simply means that your DVD\CD-Rom AND CDRW are BOTH on same IDE channel. Try a beter program called EAC (Exact Audio Copy). I'll provide a guide for you to print out and study, lol. EAC: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ EAC guide: http://www.ping.be/satcp/tutorials.htm If your not a pc guru, then don't try and fix your IDE problem. The EAC method copies to your hd first, thus eliminating the errors you are getting using Nero or Easy CD Cre(a)mater. Shoey
yqw. When I said that your DVD\CD-Rom& CDRW are both on the same IDE channel, it is most likely that both are set at "master", or both are set at "slave", or 1 might be set at "cable select", and another at "slave". it will take someone with advanced pc knwledge to fix your hardware problem. Not hard for me to fix though, lol. Shoey
mcg, please post next audio questions to Afterdawn's Audio forum, the proper place for that. Don't worry, our Shoey (an many other very smart people) surfs there, too. (topic closed)
