burning avie files

    I need help burning some avi files that I have on my harddrive. I want to burn them to a playable dvd (on my player), but I can't seem to get a program to do it. Something about converting 1st to Mpeg format them burning to dvd but I can't do it. Need some sort of easy program, I am not a pro at computers
    Any help??

    Nero works great I stick with version 6.6.0.16 as i find i have no probs then you need to get extras pack 2 i think called nero vision express this i use to burn avi files it converts to dvd automaticly. dont bother using nero showtime I personnaly think its crap

    also there is a prog called avitodvd

    Play on dvd player,you may make the avi file to dvd format or which your player supports.I suggest you convert the avi to dvd first,then burn to disc.And you don't need to convert to mpeg,if you use WinAVI video converter.It can convert to dvd directly,and also can burn to disc.Maybe you can have a try if you like :

    Hey i decided to use that app and it appears i have a minor prob. Well i was converting the avi's and everything was going well until it got to 99% and...... it just stays there..... I dont know why it isn't doing anything else or going forward. Please help any one.

    You may download a new patch named “MMEncoder(1).DLL” from
    http://www.winavi.com/download/MMEncoder(1).DLL and then save it to the \\WinAVIVideoConverter folder to replace the original one.
    By the way,if you don't use v7.6,i suggest you upgrade to the newest one.
