    Hi all,
I have downloaded 2 .bin file and 2 .cue files relative to a 2 CD's program. I have used Magic Iso to unpack and create the .iso file for CD 1 and for CD 2. Then I tried to burn a CD using CDRWIn but then when I try to read back the disc nothing happens. The iso file is 717 MB and is estimated in 79 minutes. I have used a 700 MB disk (74 minutes), but the process seems to go right. I do not get any error message, only the disc is not working. My understanding is that when I burn an .iso file on a disc this should act as a perfect copy of the original. Is this correct?
    thank's

Yes, you can fit, on a 74' CD, 330,000 sectors 2352 bytes large, that is 783,216 bytes, not 330,000*2048 (681,984 = 650 MB) bytes. Otherwise, how could you explain you can fit on a 74' CD-R = 650 MB = 74' music, since 1' music (WAV files) = 10 MB?
74' = 650 MB is refered to 'data CDs' not to RAW images (which contain also ECC and EDC informations).

Your problem: the image could be corrupt. You can to this check in two ways:

    1) 'mount it' with Daemon tools or Alcohol 120%. If the image canot me mounted (on virtual drive E: you see nothing), you'l onlr create coasters with it.
    2) scan it with CDMage (open it and perform a scan for corruption). If CDMage finds the image is corrupt, it can try to correct it. With a little chance but it is an extra chance..

If the image can be 'mounted' and/or is not found corrupt by CDMage it is, probably, a physical problem of the media you used. Use another CD-R (a CD-RW, even better).

Unless you used a 'illegal' copy of CDRWin, a trialware version which was tried to be unlocked using a wrong serial key...
Illegal copies of CDRWin alway produce coasters (If this is the case: pity you! Always buy the good software!)
