burning data dvd with nero

    hi guys my annoying problemis that everytime i try to write say 5-6 movies (AVI's) and try to play themin my technika xvid player on a few of them will play and the rest get skipped due to "pre-scan fail". Any ideas guys this is bugging me do u think i need to convert the files or something. i'm a newb so if u suggest stuff plz explain either how to or post links. thanks

    copy the files back to harddrive and use gspot
    to verify the audio and video codecs. If it's xvid,
    there may be a couple of encoding options used that cause
    standalone players big problems. They are GMC and QPEL.
    If Gspot doesn't give this info, use Mpeg4 modifier from

    Secondly, if the above doesn't lead to anything, run a disk quality
    check using Nero cd/dvd speed.
