Hi there peeps,i have been copying dvd's using dvd shrink and also dvd fab platinum 5 with anydvd & nero 8.So im not a newbie to burning that way, i know what im doing and have been for quite a number of years.What my problem is i have just started to download movies,and use win avi converter.All goes well untill i go to play back my movies i downloaded in any type of stand alone dvd player.The disc will play in my pc but not in a dvd player,so i am wondering if there is a setting that i have over looked.I used dvd shrink to burn the downloaded avi movie and min avi converter to convert the movie.When i inserted the dvd in the stand alone dvd player a message appeared, on the screen of the TV saying " this disc is incompatable".I hope i have given you enuf info to help me out cheers.BTW love this web site...
Save the output from Winavi to your hard drive, and then burn that folder to disc using ImgBurn. What burner do you have? What discs do you use? There is no reason to use DVD Shrink, it is not a burner.
Hi there again,the burning programme i have been using is nero 7 then i tried nero 8.The blank dvd's im using is Sony dvd + R.It's not untill now that i have had a problem with this brand of disc's burning dvd's.When burning dvd's if shrink in conjuction with nero wont burn my dvd i will then use dvd fab & nero.Both of these programmes work for me and easy to use.I have just discovered that i can burn the downloaded movie using Win AVI in built burner.When burning finished, i played the copied movie in both of my stand alone dvd players and movie played in both.This will be ok untill i can figure out with some help to use dvd shrink.I know shrink isnt a burner but im just used to using it and it works for me.Cheers for the help so far.
