I use to use Avi Divx Xvid to DVD to turn my avi files into, a folder(im not sure what its called) and then i would open that folder with dvd shrink and back it up into a image(iso) and then put that image onto my media player, or burn it using nero. Is there a simpler way to do this(ending up with an iso image) as it keeps my movies as one file and only takes about 5 minutes to make a dvd
After you've converted your avi to VIDEO_TS you can import the new folder into Imgburn and create the ISO on your HDD. Alternatively you could simply start with DVD Flick (free) and convert your avi straight to ISO from there.
It depends on your system. I can convert a 700mb avi in 20 minutes, but I'm using a quad core system.
ok works good but is there a way to convert them into just a iso because im getting all these text documents and a video ts file as well as a iso?
I believe Video_TS is the folder it makes automatically and I havent seen a shut off as far as I know, but you can choose build ISO on or off. As far as burning to disc, either format will serve you well: is there any reason you want to keep the ISO format, not the other?
