I was wondering what the consensus of people on here do when they are burning a dvd with both full and wide screen on the dvd. Do they burn both versions, wide screen, or for some weird reason full screen.

I Burn Just the Wide Screen, becuase Manufacturers Are Eventually going to Stop Making Square Televisions.

It depends what kind of TV you have, but full screen version is always cropped from wide screen (you do not see full picture).
Wide screen will show on 4:3 TV with black bars on top and bottom, because the DVD is set to a Letterbox for 4:3 television, but it will be a full picture.

I will rip the entire disc (both wide and full screen if the disc contains both) and only burn the wide screen. I use VobBlanker to edit out the full screen version so it will fit onto a single layer disc. If you try to select the full screen version afterwards while watching it, it will either do nothing or will automatically play the wide screen version. No use in having both.

    Hi !

Your Ripper on Movie Only, will select the Wide-screen version by default automatically....unless is one of those latest Movies where you have to select your Title Angle #X ....then you can choose either one.

Movie Only and Wide Screen is the way to go !

    Good luck !
